𓆙 Grounding through change
DIY PhD Cohort 9 starts Tuesday, Seed 2 Bloom in eim with Olivia, Retreat this Fall
You are receiving this because you have previously opted-in to receive School for the Ecocene’s Loveletter via our mailing list, a purchase, or our Confluence.
As we return from dormancy we’re looking to a clearing season ahead. As change continues to unfold, what practices help us shed and ground through upheaval? This Loveletter is one way we stay steady in reaching out to this mycelia of Earthworkers.
Checking in and centering ground us in calls, classes, and gatherings.
We linger in this place of connection. It’s one reason we’re still building this co-op, moving toward the vision of a worker and community-owned school for the Earth. Kinship keeps us going, nurturing bonds, bridging our disparate lives.
📅 Save the Date: Fall Retreat this October 24-26th in Southern California
This Fall, co-op members will gather in council and retreat- connecting and relaxing together while camping in the high desert. Surrounding us is a winding rewilding willow creek, ancestor rocks, and generative off-grid peace. Come relax in community sustenance.
DIY PhDers: we’ll begin this Fall’s Dissertation Integration Circle at the new moon for those seeking a continued container to dip into the work. Let us know at this link if you wanna join.
🌀 The Spirit of the DIY PhD
The Spirit of the DIY PhD, like all things spiritual, is hard to describe in words. It’s a force and a current; it’s a pulse that pulls us closer. It’s intuition + ancestor guides + passion + Earth - what’s not working = cocreation. It’s generative or grounding, depending on what we need. It is responsive, reflexive, and seasonal; sovereignty within community and unique for each person.
From age 22 to 72, humans from many backgrounds and educational levels have been inspired to create their own PhD. Their work spans genres, dimensions, and media. The ripple effects are immeasurable as they tune into their unique path of contrinution to planetary shifts needed now. The DIY PhD is non-proprietary and impossible to fail. It’s a mystic’s path using traditional and modern tools alike.
Our next DIY PhD Year One Course has been steadily filling with brilliant humans ready to fine-tune their paths and callings. Interested in joining what might be our culminating cohort? A few spots are still open! Send us an email if you’d like to chat about the program.
Apply by this Sunday, September 7th. Our weekly class begins Tuesday, September 9th, 10am - 12noon PST with Sarita Doe and Quetza Ramirez.
